DR: The Only Way

“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me.” John 14:6

You’ve likely already committed this scripture to memory, but I want to encourage you with it anyway.

Perhaps you’ve been feeling like you are at your rope’s end.

You’ve exhausted every avenue.

Sought every opportunity.

Used up every inch of your mental space trying to figure out what’s going to happen now.

You’re not alone. Not only have I been where you are, I am there where you are.

But I’d like to submit something to your perspective, because even now our faith still stands. Agreed?

In John 14:6, Jesus reminds us that he is THE way.

He is not a way.

He is not just a truth.

He is not an option.

He is not a last resort.

He is THE way.

He is THE truth.

He is THE life.

What is He really saying?

God will allow us to exhaust every other option to prove His assertions and His Word.

You may be wondering how you are going to get out of that mess. You’ve tried everything:

The answer? Jesus. There is no other way. There is nothing more you can do, and that is precisely the point. There is no other way out. There’s no more creative or critical thinking to employ to resolve it. No lifeline calls at your disposal. No hidden stashes anywhere. No one else can help you right now.

Jesus is the only way through this.

You are just going to have to trust Him to pay that bill…or do something better.

You are just going to have to trust Him to resolve that issue…or strengthen you through it.

You are just going to have to trust Him to break that cycle, or addiction, or tension around you.

Not because He truly has to, but because He said He would.

Because God said He would never leave you nor forsake you (Deut 31:8)

Because His Word says the righteous are never forsaken nor his seed left begging for bread (Ps 37:25)

Because not only did God promise He would be with you in times of trouble, but He said He would deliver you and honor you from and despite troubles, including those we cause upon ourselves (Ps 91:16).

All is well concerning you. You just must refocus your gaze. Seek His Kingdom and righteousness first and let Him sort out everything else. Your job is to seek; His job is to provide.

I love you.

Take this back to God and pray on it.

And remember in everything you do,

be sure to walk with Love.

Holy Spirit, I thank You for this Word today. Please let it meet the eyes of every person who needs to hear this so they may be encouraged to move forward and lead others to you with Love. We love You, Lord, and we thank You. In Jesus’ Name, to the Glory of the Father, we thank You. Amen.
