HSD: Enough

So…

Do you know what the Holy Spirit has rested in my heart recently? How often we miss the opportunity to slow down, meditate, and find the hidden formulas positioned in everything that Jesus says.

Today’s example of this and revelation stems from Matthew chapter 4.

After Satan began his attempt to tempt Jesus, Jesus first responded to Satan in verse 4 by saying, “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the Mouth of God.”

In this chapter, you’ll find that Satan was actively challenging Jesus’ identity in an attempt to stop Him from fulfilling His Purpose. He was boldly and cleverly attempting to make Jesus disqualify Himself.

Jesus’ response to this should serve as a reminder for every walking child of God experiencing spiritual warfare as a consequence of obedience and surrender to the Perfect Will of God.

The reminder is as follows: You know enough, you have enough, and you are enough.

1.       “It is written” = “I know enough”

2.      “Man shall not live by bread alone” = “I have enough”

3.      “But by every Word that proceeds out of the Mouth of God” = “I AM Enough” (Jesus is the Word, Himself. John 1:1)

When the enemy comes to tell you that you don’t know enough to be used by God, that you don’t have the resources, support, or finances to move forward, or that God cannot possibly use you because of either your past or your current struggles with sin, apply this exact formula to your response.

Tell him you may not have all of Scripture memorized, but you know enough—then use what you know to shut him down!

You are called to bear witness and spread what you’ve seen God do!

Tell him when Jesus delivered you, when he paid that bill, when he healed you from that heartbreak, and when he took you out of that situation.

Trust me: you know enough.

Remind him that whatever God has called you to, he has equally graced you for. You do not despise humble beginnings; you embrace and employ them.

The God who made wine out of water told you to move! You are equipped with the most valuable currency in the Kingdom of God: that is your faith.

Trust me: you have enough.

And remind ol’ hatin Satan that greater is He who is within you than he who is in the world. That there are divine investments buried beneath Satanic agreements that God Himself is working on bringing to the surface (more on this soon), thus enhancing your ability to see the perfect work he created concerning you over time. That God factored in and considered every last one of your struggles before he even called you.

You remind Satan that you are a part of a royal priesthood, fearfully and wonderfully crafted by the Hands of God Himself.

Trust me: you are more than enough.

Saint of God, it is time to turn to our enemy and tell him: ENOUGH is enough!

Whatever God has told you to do…move past the lies and temptations of the enemy and get it done. That is the season in which we find ourselves.

Remember, right after Jesus was tested in this way, He began to move powerfully.

I can’t wait to see Him use you in this same way.

Holy Spirit, I thank You for this Word today. Please let it meet the eyes of every person who needs to hear this so they may be encouraged to move forward and lead others to you with Love. We love You, Lord, and we thank You. In Jesus’ Name, to the Glory of the Father, we thank You. Amen.
