TC: Use Your Authority by Faith

So earlier in the day, I realized my son came home from school with a runny nose…again. “Oh, great,” I thought, and I spent much of the evening wiping away at his lip.

Come night fall, he fell asleep without any issues.

However, at around 12:30 a.m., he grew restless. I realized he was having a hard time breathing each time he closed his mouth, and he would wake up frightened by the consequence of congestion.

I prayed a little prayer over him and kept angling him, convinced that he would be able to sleep better given more intentional positioning.

This was not working.

Finally, after rocking him, cradling him, angling him and half-asleep prayers did not change his condition,

I was finally up…and upset.

I placed my 3-year-old next to my husband after some time of holding his chin down to keep his lips from meeting, I got out of bed while his mouth maintained this position, and I left my half-asleep prayers behind me.

It was time to PRAY.

As I fought through the sleepiness, it was a little time before the Holy Spirit took over. During that take over and with my authority in Christ, I began to call and cast out. I came against the spirit of infirmity and its many forms of sickness, illness, virus, disease, pestilence—all in the name of Jesus. And as Holy Ghost Fire was called down upon them, agreements were renounced, attachments were cut off, and entry points were sealed, I told them to take their congestion and all other symptoms with them on the way out, fully reminding them that they had no legal right to be here nor near my household (Psalm 91).

I went back to bed; I picked up my son and cradled him again. He was breathing evenly and soundly.

His mouth was closed.

Hallelujah, Jesus.

I then put him down next to me and I heard what sounded like him breathing through congestion.

Without skipping a beat, I began to recite one of my favorite scriptures from Matthew 14:30-31, “But when he saw the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me! And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Lord, I choose to trust you. I choose to believe.

I fell asleep in confidence after that and when I woke up again, my son was still there sleeping soundly with no trace of congestion.

I just wanted to testify and encourage you today.

You not only have the authority to speak to your unfavorable situation, you also hold the choice to believe that whatever you speak, or rebuke will be honored in heaven by our Father who loves you…

And who also uses less-than-ideal situations to test you, build your faith, and to get you out of your comfort to seek Him like you mean it.

Can you remember a time when you used your authority in Christ to remind Satan of just who he is not?     `

Let me know. (Did I tell you that I love testimonies? I feel like I mentioned it once or twice.)

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you.

I will be reading…

And smiling from ear to ear.

I love you and thank you for fellowshipping with me.

Continue to lead with Love.
