HSD: It’s All on YOU
Come here. Come take a walk with me.
So again, the Lord has afforded me quite a few revelations during and after my Esther Fast. Here’s another revelation that He has made very clear He wants me to share.
And yes, He wants me to share this now.
I need you to listen very closely…
Your relationship with God and your personal convictions are yours. If God told you to do something, but He did not convict sister so-and-so in the same way, you do what He told YOU to do.
This is so very important and there’s another message here that we will tackle at a later time.
But I need you to understand this today:
It is your obligation to figure out what your relationship with God is supposed to look like.
It is your obligation to discern His voice and to recognize what His instructions sound like.
It is your obligation to stand confidently in the relationship you are building with Christ.
If someone else leads you astray because you trust what God tells them before you trust what He’s telling YOU, that is no one else’s fault but your own, my love.
I love you, but the Holy Spirit is standing on my chest with this one. He straightened me all the way up with this message, too.
*Give me a hug. I know. I know. *
In Isaiah chapter 3 when the Lord was speaking judgement on Judah and Jerusalem, and as He was talking to His people, He explained how He would have to humble the leaders and those held of high esteem for leading the people astray with their wicked practices, “For Jerusalem stumbled, and Judah is fallen, because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of His Glory.” (Verse 8)
However, by verse 12 He says this, “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err and destroy the way of your paths.”
Now this doesn’t have to mean just leaders. This could mean anyone you call on for guidance before you call on the Lord.
Anyone you trust before you trust what the Holy Spirit has been dropping in your heart.
Anyone you call who causes you to question specific instructions you’ve been given.
Anyone you believe is hearing from the Lord more accurately than you are.
Listen…I don’t want you to be unteachable.
Yes, God will absolutely send people to correct you.
But He will also routinely send confirmations to what He has been telling you already.
It is your obligation to take those teachings or corrections and ask God about them for yourself.
Just because you are sitting at the table, it doesn’t mean you have to consume everything before you.
Seek God for yourself, because if you continue to trust what others believe is the right or wrong thing to do in your walk with Christ instead of what the Holy Spirit is leading you to do personally, you will almost certainly open the doors for the spirits of confusion and deception.
If God told you to take better care of your body, watch what you eat and wake up earlier than most, it is likely that He is preparing YOU for something different than someone who has the luxury of sleeping in.
It doesn’t make anyone better. It doesn’t make anyone more right. It makes you both unique Heavenly Assignment holders with two completely different callings.
You also don’t know how surrendered you are in comparison to others and visa-versa, so what you feel convicted about may not reach another in that same way.
It doesn’t make anyone better. It doesn’t make anyone wrong. There are just levels to surrender and obedience, and you must be able to discern where you are versus where someone else is, too.
*Sighs* Beloved…
Please take this advice as someone who lived her early Christian Walk through the validation of her peers (more on this deliverance testimony later)…
Do what works for you. Do what God has told you to do and don’t get caught up trying to fit into what others believe to be correct in their walk with God.
If someone can watch television all day, but you happen to feel disconnected after one episode of a secular show, do what works for you. Everyone has different tolerance levels. Everyone has different sensitivities. Everyone has been called to do something different which requires each person to surrender in unique ways.
If you have an addiction to social media, the Holy Spirit may limit your scrolling while using your severely introverted friend to spread the Word via social media platforms.
Again, no one is wrong. Your convictions are just charged in accordance with your distinct purposes. That’s it.
Spend your time reading His Word. Ask Him to speak to you through meditation. Desperately seek His wise instruction and tune out anything that distracts you as much as possible.
And ask Him for the sensitivity you need to hear His Voice, the confidence you need to believe that it is Him and the faith you need to trust His instructions.
The rest…
You will never ever find a greater peace.
Pray on this. Reflect on this. And if it resonates, receive this.
And in every single thing you do,
Be sure to lead with Love.
Holy Spirit, I thank You for this Word today. Please let it meet the eyes of every person who needs to hear this so that they may be encouraged to move forward and lead others to you with Love. We love You, Lord, and we thank You. In Jesus’ Name to the Glory of the Father, we thank You. Amen.
