HSD: It’s Time to Walk in Your Ministry
Come here. Come take a walk with me.
So…
I’m fresh off a Holy Spirit led Esther Fast and the Lord has downloaded quite a few messages that are soon to be posted. Just the same, here’s what has rested on my heart to tell you today:
But first, some context…
Days 1 & 2 of my fast weren’t particularly challenging. I read/studied and meditated on the Word, worshipped, listened to YouTube testimonies/sermons and of course prayed. (Also watched an episode of “The Chosen” on Day 1. Holy Spirit said, “mmm, not so much” to that and YouTube sermons by Day 2. More to come on why this happened in my next post.)
Anyway, I really didn’t feel hungry 95 percent of the time, and I may have felt weak here and there but nothing super crazy or noteworthy.
But beloved…
Day 3 was having none of this.
Day 3 was its own beast.
I felt tired, sluggish, hungry and discouraged. I was plagued by thoughts of doubt, and I was super emotional. It felt sooo random, especially since I had been up the night before praying until after 4 am.
I couldn’t help but think, “what in the world is going on right now?”
Wellp, after reading the Word and listening to some testimonies, I still felt a heaviness.
Finally, during a time of meditation, I felt the Holy Spirit instruct me to read what I had written followed by flashing me with a picture of my website.
“Hmmk, let me log on then…”
I went on my website and began to scroll…
Then I began to read…
Then I began to reflect…
Then I began to feel stronger…
Then I began to feel clearer…
and suddenly, all of the heaviness was lifted. I felt confident in the Lord again.
Here’s what the Lord was showing me:
1. He remined me of who I am and who He has called me to be. That if I can be encouraged and be pulled out of a discouraged state by the Words the Holy Spirit has unctioned me to write, then so can many others.
2. He reminded me of the importance of walking and producing in one’s assigned ministry. That when you actively work in what you’ve been called to do, you will see your experiences as opportunities, not calamities.
3. He reminded me that He always knows what He’s doing. There are Words and Messages He has had me write for others, but they also have been written for me so that I may be uplifted during future battles and tests. I was reminded that in working to encourage others, I have been inevitably working to encourage myself.
Wow, Lord. Amazing.
I need us to take a moment to recognize the sheer genius that is the Almighty God. It’s insane how He strategizes, especially for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). We could be here worrying, and He’s literally an infinite number of years ahead us.
Let us never grow desensitized to the Glory of God. He’s absolutely mind blowing and we don’t even know the half of it all.
But moving on to His overall message…
My Sibling-in-Christ...
This is a call to walk in your ministry.
If you still have no idea what that is and who He has called you to be, just ask Him!
James chapter 1:5 reads, “if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given unto him.”
He’s literally so eager to reveal this information to you.
But for those who already have an idea…
Who find themselves naturally encouraging people…
Or receiving dreams which so happen to come to pass in real life…
Or teaching people about the Word of God at random…
Or giving generously or effortlessly without a single thought of remorse…
You already know God has called you to do something.
You just need the Lord to clarify your title/position/path.
Begin to walk in your ministry and watch everything else make sense.
You will begin to find joy in your trials just as Paul and James has encouraged you to do. You’ll do this because you’ll know how much your ministry and the way you have been called to serve the Lord and His people will depend on these stories.
These obstacles will increase your faith and the faith of the Lord’s called and chosen ones. The souls He will lead to you for help…all for His Glory.
So, please. The Lord is calling you to do what you were created to do.
Start somewhere but start.
Walk in your ministry.
And allow this servitude paired with faith and obedience to lead you to The Lord’s promised victory in every experience you encounter.
Stop over-thinking.
You got this, and I am always, always rooting for you.
But just a loving reminder,
in all things you do,
Be sure to lead others to Christ with Love.
Holy Spirit, I thank You for this Word today. Please let it meet the eyes of every person who needs to hear this so that they may be encouraged to move forward and lead others to you with Love. We love You, Lord, and we thank You. In Jesus’ Name to the Glory of the Father, we thank You. Amen.
