HSD: The Formula

Come here. Come take a walk with me.

I have a confession to make—

mathematics and I don’t have a close bond.

We, instead, have an understanding toward one another.

For instance, I call math forward on an as needed basis, and math pretends I don’t exist until I call.

See? An understanding.

Even as a student throughout middle and high school, while the rest of my class was mastering equations and their applications…

I was in the back of the class…

writing poetry.

So when I asked the Lord a long time ago to make sure when He spoke to me I would know it was Him and no other voice, I shouldn’t have been too surprised by the way He chose to answer this prayer.

And I wasn’t surprised…but I was and still am amused.

He began to use math, yall.

Mathematical equations to make His points.

And I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that these examples do not come from me. Not even a little bit. I’ve been committed to the above-mentioned understanding.

Now, why am I telling you all of this? Let’s jump into the Word before I move forward with the message.

The Scripture for this message comes from 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 and it reads, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”

For your reference, to exalt means to “raise to a higher rank or a position of greater power.”

With that having been said, I have a few questions for you. Bear with me?

What is 25 X 25 X 0? 0.

What is 35^2 X 0? 0.

What is infinity X infinity X 0? Z.e.r.o.

You’re doing great, but I have just one last question for you: have you been factoring in the Neutralizing Agent that is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior in all of your life equations?

I need you to know something. Lean in closer so nobody can hear me.

This math test is rigged. The answer to every question is the same. My favorite math test to date.

Let me break this down according to Scripture:

ANY power that attempts to set itself up against the creator, or ambitions to increase itself to a higher power before the Highest Power is neutralized. The answer is zero. It is casted down.

Anything that starts at one number or point and attempts to exponentially increase itself before the Creator yet without the Creator comes to nothing. Done.  

The reason you feel like you’ve been failing is because God has given you the grace since Genesis chapter 1:9 and 1:22 to multiply, not add. “Be fruitful and multiply,” says the Lord.

The enemy wants you to come into agreement with his lies and temporary additions to distract you from realizing you have been graced for more. You haven’t just been graced for increase, but you are the heir of abundance that comes from that increase, for you and anyone who comes from you.

And this is why Satan’s deception has been effective from the very beginning. There is a reason lust looks like love. Obsession looks like worship. Happiness looks like joy. It’s because the master Imitator is in the business of making things appear to be of God when they aren’t. He is in the business of convincing you that all he is attempting to add to your life is what you need, when you’re positioned for multiplicity.

You even attempt to put two and two together, add things up, as a means of leaning on your own understanding, and when you don’t understand what is happening, you grieve even after the Lord told you that his blessings come without the addition of sorrow. Meaning, He told you that a small increase to profit you only for today and nothing more is not the business He’s into.

Your consistent attempt to add things places you outside of what you have been graced for. Stop trying to add. You have been called to multiply.

And while you are multiplying, like any great formula, you must factor in all components of the equation for that Formula to work.

In this case, you must factor in the Great Neutralizer, the Almighty God, in all of life’s circumstances.

And how do we know that God is the Great Neutralizer? Because of His Names.

Jehovah Jireh, my Provider= Zero need

Jehovah Nissi, my Banner = Zero loss

Jehovah Raah, my Shephard = Zero lack

Jehovah Rapha, my Healer = Zero death

Jehovah Shamma, He is there= Zero loneliness

Jehovah Tsidneku, Our Righteousness= Zero blame

Jehovah M’kaddesh= Zero blemish

Jehovah Shalom = Zero torment

Jehovah Sabboath = Zero defeat

Even the name of Jesus alone, our redeemer, equates to zero sin.

He is the Great Neutralizer so you must be factoring Him in every equation of your life.

So that thing you wanted that didn’t quite work out had to stand before God in its attempt to add destruction to your life in the long run. Don’t weep. It was neutralized. It could not stand.

That job you believed was going to be the saving grace to all of your problems was led by the Director of Sinful Operations, Satan himself. Be encouraged. It was neutralized.

Sometimes your favor rests in what God didn't allow to happen.

If the Lord promised you that He would supply all your needs. That His thoughts of you are to prosper you, that He will set you on high because you have known His name,

That means anything that attempts to exalt itself against the knowledge of God,

The promises made to you by God,

The Word of God

The Truth is that is God, himself…

cancels itself out.

Every single time.

And all formalities aside: you, and all of us, (according to Scripture) have been given the authority to tell Satan that his math aint mathing.

That his plans to add sorrow to your life will be neutralized by the Almighty every time.

That he can send His agents clinging firmly to their assignments, but this earthly assignment is rigged and the Neutralizing Agent cancels out all other agents.

So I just want to encourage you today. When in doubt, apply the formula. For all things work together for the good of those who loves the Neutralizer.

And remember,

 Holy Spirit, I thank You for this Word today. Please let it meet the eyes of every person who needs to hear this so that they may be encouraged to move forward and lead others to you with Love.
