HSD: Trust the Photographer

Come here. Come take a walk with me…

Have you ever owned a polaroid camera?

I always had access to one as a child, but I never truly owned one until I became an adult.

I’m revealing my age now but for those of you who don’t know, back in the day, you could not take a photo and view it instantly.

There were no smart phones so you would have to walk around with a bulky camera and drop off the film of that camera to a nearby pharmacy or any such place to be able to see your photos.

As time grew, digital cameras came on the scene. Digital cameras phased out shortly after the rise of camera phones. Camera phones became smart phones and now here we are today, completely spoiled by instant gratification.

Even so…the polaroid camera was always special to me.

At the time of its debut, what was very neat about the polaroid camera was that it allowed its owners to see photos “next to instantly.”

Let me paint a picture for you:

Everyone would huddle together to fit in frame, the photographer (usually a friend who decided to be the photographer for the occasion) would point the camera and capture the moment with one single snap. A square sheet of photo paper would then eject from the device— a printed still of the moment.

But what was cool about this was that you still had to wait for the photo to fully develop before you could view it.

Oh yes! It was a waiting game to see how the picture turned out. Longest five minutes ever.

Even so, we would wait to appreciate the tangible translation of that moment—a moment that already existed.

Once developed, it then became something you could appreciate long after that moment passed.

Something you could grasp.

Something you could share.

I want to submit a perspective to you that the Holy Spirit has placed on my heart for quite some time now.

Perhaps you are not waiting for God to answer your prayers.

Perhaps you are waiting for this physical experience to catch up with what has already been established as fact and reality in Heaven.

A moment that has already been established by God and is just in development.

His Word says, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”

Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, you already were. (Psalm 139:13-14)

Before the world was created, it existed in the imagination and divine plans of our God. (Genesis chapters 1 & 2)

Before you even began praying, God already knew what you needed and answered you. (Isaiah 65: 24)

Even before Jesus walked the earth dressed in human flesh, it was already written that the Messiah was coming (I encourage you to read the book of Isaiah in its entirety.)

I need you to realize something…

Every concept and idea exists in the spirit realm before it is physically perceivable on earth.

I need you to stop fretting because you haven’t seen the physical representation or manifestation of your prayers…yet.

In your quest to stand in alignment with Christ and your pursuit of obedience to His Will…

all that you have been praying for has already been established as yours in Heaven.

When the Lord says, “I will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4)” or “seek ye first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33)” He is revealing code unto you.

The code is if you are in alignment and diligently seeking to be in alignment with God in true spirit and worship, if you are fully surrendered to God, all that you are praying for is what the Holy Spirit is leading you to pray for.

He places the desire in your heart so that you begin to ask for what already has your name on it.

So that you begin to seek what is already there…just for you.

So that He may release what He has for you based on your confession, agreement, and alignment over time as the developmental process of who you are grows clearer and clearer to you the more you walk with Him

and the longer you seek Him.

As a product of the mighty hands of the Lord our savior, you are a classic, my dear, just like an old polaroid. The details of your life are coming into focus, but you must trust the skills of the photographer. You must trust that every element you wanted captured, every detail you wanted to be collected within frame—all of that is already there.

The fun part is in waiting to physically perceive it and hold it.

Reflect on this. Pray on this, and if led, Receive this.

But in all things you do,

Remember to lead others to Christ with Love.

Holy Spirit, I thank You for this Word today. Please let it meet the eyes of every person who needs to hear this so that they may be encouraged to move forward and lead others to you with Love. We love You, Lord, and we thank You. In Jesus’ Name to the Glory of the Father, we thank You. Amen.
